Don't you love the title of this post! It so true though, my hair poof is huge! But I LOVE it! So what good news do I have to tell you today?

We are approved for our house! Which means we will be able to start digging as soon as next week! Do you know what that means?
I have A LOT of things to figure out.
*Couple of colors I love for the outside
*Flooring-hardwood/carpet
*Wall colors
*Light fixtures
*Sinks
*hardware for cabinets in Kitchen, Laundry room, both bathroom
Oh man the list keeps going on

Other than that great news, I had my 1st training session with a trainer and I was soo nervous! But it went really well! I learned how to correct my extremely tight hammys, what to eat before/after the gym, and how to use some of the big scary machines! I'm the kind of person who has to do everything correctly, so I like directions, I like help, I love knowing and that is what the trainer did for me and I'm so grateful and can't wait to go back to the gym tomorrow.
Maybe I'm becoming a gym rat after all...lets not jump too far ahead it's only day 2!

Last order of business, I think I'm going to put these shoes up for sale. When I bought them I was celebrating getting done with the worst test of my life (NCLEX) which was over a year ago and I've only worn them about 3 times since then. That's counting today. So with that said, they need to go to someone who would use them more and appreciate them more. Make me a reasonable offer and they could be yours!
I'm also doing a guest post over here today, check it out!
Have a great day!

Fun with the Cousins!

This is what we did when the boys went shooting...we went shooting too!
(be prepared for picture overload!)

(I jumped in one)

Ashley couldn't stand up...it was hilarious!
Stupid car in the background :(

Told you picture overload, but there was so many amazing photos of these gorgeous girls I couldn't resist putting them all on here!

I bought a gym pass

I go through these phases where I love to work out then I absolutely hate it and say 'I don't need to work out!' but in all honesty, I really do need to workout! With my job I need to make sure my body is in perfect condition to lift patients so I don't hurt myself and not to mention I need to have the stamina to do CPR. So I bought a gym pass!
Today was day one, just did cardio and then checkout a couple of the machines. But tomorrow I have an appointment with a trainer to get me into shape. Guess we will see how it goes!

Now for your help...I NEED music to motivate me to get into shape! Please share your favorite workout songs! Thanks :)

(Guess you can tell I like button downs with sweaters over it haha)

Pumpkin Patch

I can't wait until I have kids to start the tradition where you take them to the local pumpkin patch and pick out that little pumpkin, to see them running around looking at all of the pumpkins on the ground and can't decide which one to get. Then to take cute family pictures while sitting on the bale of straw they have just aligned perfectly for it. Yep that is one memory I can't wait to start making when I finally have my own little ones. But until then, I'll continue to go out to the pumpkin patch by myself to take pictures of myself haha

One thing I just noticed as I was pulling my Amys Pizza out of the oven, I am so much better at everything a man does. For example yesterday I was using a hammer, drill, and a circular saw but every time I open that dang oven and pull something out I burn my dang hand! GRR haha It's a good think my husband loves to cook and do the man stuff! We make an amazing couple!

I'm going up to the lake for the last time this year, time to close the cabin :(

I Did It...

I pulled out my BOOT!! It was such a great feeling and it made me even more excited for the colder weather to come. I originally had a leather jacket on with this outfit but then decided it was a little too warm for the leather jacket/boot combo.

Today after I stopped by my brothers place I went to my parents house and my dad gave me the alarm code and I walked in and went straight to the alarm box. After I typed in the code it didn't work, so I tried it again, still didn't work. Lets not forget I had my dad on the phone, and then all of a sudden all heck broke loose. The house alarm sounded, and it sounded really loud through out the neighborhood! I felt so stupid and the funny thing is my dad couldn't remember the right code. The alarm sounded for almost 5 minutes and I was worried the cops were going to show up. Could you just imagine me in the house, holding 2 phones in my hand and the cops show up, throw me to the ground and then cuff me. Oh man I would have freaked out! Finally I called my mom(which I tried earlier but she's horrible at answering) and she answered told me the code, then hung up on me to call the alarm company. I was so glad all the chaos ended, I'm sure the neighbors and the workers around my parents house were wondering what the heck I was doing!

And that was the story of the day!
Anything exciting happened to you today?

Last night when I went to sleep @ 9:30 I had a plan to make a picture for the Lake, do my homework, and lounge around all day. Well my coworker Amber had other plans for me, she text me around 830 AM and said 'Come to the Intensive Medicine Clinical Program Conference'. At first I thought...It would be fun but it started around 7:30 and I don't want to be the loser who shows up super late...It would be informative...but man I'm going to be late. Whatever, I got up, took a 2 min shower, got ready, and made it down there all within an hour! This was a miracle because the location is about 30 minutes drive time away! I made it right in time to see the director of our ICU speak and let me say I'm so glad I went today. Although I spaced meeting with the cabinet guy this morning, which I do feel horrible about I learned about what's to come to my ICU, how things are changing, and more information about a certain disease process that I deal with regularly. But yes I was still the loser that showed up late...oh well!

So the pictures above are 2 of the amazing doctors I work with, Dr Clemmer in the top picture and Dr Beninati in the lower one. I am grateful to work with such intelligent men who love to teach, and I know I learned from them as they presented today. So thank you! I posted more pictures to my instagram if you are interested @Nikki1156

On to more blogger business, did you catch my post on Blissful and Domestic yesterday? If not run on over there and check it out! I love posting over there, it's always a party! And welcome new readers! We are almost to 100! When we get there I think we will have to celebrate with a little treat!

Thanks Amber for getting me out of bed and taking my pictures today! You are a super star!!
(Addendum...Thanks to my boss Nancy for telling Amber to text me! haha)
