Friday Confessions

This Fridays Confessions comes from the inspiration of this massive snow storm that just happened here in SLC. I think outside my house we have shoveled twice, been around the block 4 times doing donuts, and have received about a foot of snow. This snow means...AMAZING POWDER ON THE SLOPES!!

Friday Confession...
I'd be a snow bunny if I could afford it!
I've been on the slopes ever since I was 4 years old, whether it was on ski's or on a snowboard. I love love love the snow and I'm so excited that I have this weekend off! Kind of wish I had tomorrow off, but I don't, instead I'll be stuck in the hospital :(

Can you see those boots, yep it was a comfy cozy type of day! Not to mention I had to go meet the contractor at the house and that thing without windows is like a wind tunnel! I'm grateful for all the people who have to work in the cold to build me an amazing home!

Yep, this is my outfit today. I originally wanted to wear something more hipster...didn't work out that way. I went and picked out kitchen facet crap today then went to my new favorite store, The North Face store and bought some super fun boots! Can't wait to wear them around EVERYWHERE!!

Hi ya guys! Sorry I've been so busy, which equals no blog posts. Not to mention I didn't even do a proper 'roll out the new blog layout' post. Bad blogger! But guess what? I have a new look around here and man I'm loving it! It's so fresh, clean so fresh and so clean clean. Haha I had some major help and I want to thank that person! 

Other than the new look around here, I've had absolutely no one sign up for the giveaway...haha..guess I've NEVER seen that in blogger history(and yes I am a blogger historian), no worries my feel goods still feel good. It's just so strange, I have double checked to make sure everything was working correctly like 12 times. haha

Anyway, love this outfit! I actually was inspired by a lovely lady when we went shopping forever ago. I loved her green cords, then I found these green velvet pants @ Kohl's right now for $8!! Yep $8! Their clearance section is amazing right now, run don't walk!! 

K that's my story for the day and I'm sticking to it.

I survived the 4 graves in a row and man it was tough! Not to mention I only got about 20 hours of sleep during those days too. Crazy crazy!!

New Years Resolutions


This saying is inspiration for my New Years Resolutions! So thank you to the person who pinned it, if you realize it's you and if you read my blog lol

Anyway back to the New Years resolution or resolutions. Here they are...

1. Decrease the amount of clothing that is bought per month. 
I know I did a resolution like this last year and it lasted maybe 2-3 months. But this year I'm going to try and make it slightly easier and more specific with simple rules. Rule #1-it's okay to buy while on vacation. #2-it's okay to buy an outfit for special occasions example-wedding, graduation, and birthday. #3-when buying ask myself if it's a necessity, do I have something similar, and is this going to be out of style next season. and #4-pay in cash!

2. Don't get jealous of people who have things you can't afford, but appreciate the things that are necessities in life that you do have. 
Looking at a lot of fashion blogs makes you, or at least me, focus on the more materialistic things in life. It also makes me always want something new, I'm guessing it just comes with blogging and my personality. So this resolution I'm going to try and switch my thinking from 'Man I'd love to have that bag' or 'How does she afford those boots?' because we all know, those things aren't important. What is important is that I'm able to buy food to put on the table, enjoy a nice (soon to be) new warm home every night, I have a great job, and an amazing husband and family! 

3. Compliment at least one person per day 
It feels good to be complimented, I know I enjoy it!

More husband time=happy me!

I personally think these resolutions are amazing, but I might be a little bias lol I'd love to hear your New Years Resolutions, so tell me all about them!
